nfs: shift doesnt seem responsive

im playing it and i know my computer can handle it a breeze as i can play 1680 res no problem its not laggy or jittery atall

my thing is the controls dont seem to be very responsive example when im racing its seems slo mo, i dont know how else to describe it just not very responsive i feel

EDIT: sorry my bad not slo mo just really responsive like you always have to steer left and right to control the car just to go on a straight (well not that bad but you get the jist) unlike the previous ones where they were just fine

also what do you guys set your gameplay settings to, what does speed steering settings do, ive set mine to 0%

I've heard that the steering is not great, I myself enjoy it, as its not just hitting the right you have to control it, ie: oversteer/understeer, not sure how "bad" your problem is, if its minor its probably the game.
 
ive messed with the speed stering and the steering sensitivity and i dont like it atall its to responsive and cant control it very tempramental
 
Keep trying until you get the settings just right. for me the steering has a 4 second lag with the default settings! i use a keyboard.
 
Nfs Shift, Is more realistic as compared to the other NFS series games. So get better and you will be fine. It reminds me of Gran Turismo.
 
This is quite a step for the NFS team seeing as all their other games were very arcade-ish and this one's more of a simulator. I've been playing it and agree the steering is quite sluggish. Tweaking the deadzone and such helps, but it is mostly because it's a simulator. Oh, but you should have seen it with my steering wheel! It required about a half turn for a response under default settings :P
 
its really good now, in the end i disabled vsync and made all the textures, medium but i still got the same res 1680, im probably going to update my vid card driver, what do you guys think?
 
mmm ive got a problem now since ive disabled vsync the ingame is spot on now, but i have a problem when i finish a race and it starts to load back to the career profile, it freezes up the loading icon stops going round in the bottom right hand corner and then when i open task manager i find its not responding so i end task open nfs shift on desktop again and when i finish a race EXACTLY the same thing happens

BUT

ive got a big problem now since thats happened i cant even open up the game, the splash screen logo appears reading need for speed shift the bottom load bar reaches the end and the screen turns blank after that nothing i left it for more than 10sec still nothing blank, so i uninstalled the program in the programs features in control panel after that ive deleted the folder in program files, installed it again and same happens loads the splash screen finishes loading and after that screen is blank

any help?!?!???
 
Ive just tried the demo...fantastic game,im not having any problems with handeling or anything....im using a 360 controller.

all settings maxed 8x aa @ 1680x1050 and getting around 42fps and smooth gameplay.

i also turned of vsync.
