Ok i have this custom mad computer which is old. Its running windows 98. My problem is that everytime i get into a site, it says syntax error and also says running scripts errors. WHat could be wrong

I don't think its a "Memory" or "Hard Drive" problem
It sounds as though its just a non compatible Windows (ie Java etc) and Internet Explorer version, on some of the sites you go on

You can try updating to Windows 98 unofficial SP2: http://majorgeeks.com/UNOFFICIAL_Windows98_SE_Service_Pack_d4131.html
To see if that helps too ;)

Edit:
Basically some sites are just not compatible with old technology any more, an old XP machine may be a good idea to upgrade to, some are really cheap

If you are using an old version of IE then chances are that is what is causing the errors.

Use IE 6 sp1 and it should clear most of it up.

From Microsoft:

The minimum requirements your computer needs to run Internet Expl
orer 6 SP1 are listed below. Additional system requirements are not required when running Windows XP. Some components may require additional system resources not outlined below.
Minimum Requirements

Computer/Processor

Computer with a 486/66-MHz processor or higher (Pentium processor recommended)

Operating System

Microsoft Windows® 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me), Windows NT® 4.0 with the high encryption version of Service Pack 6a (SP6a) and higher, Windows 2000, or Windows XP

Memory

For Internet Explorer 6 SP1:
RAM requirements depend on the operating system used

Windows 98:
16 MB of RAM minimum
Full install size: 11.5 MB

Windows 98 Second Edition:
16 MB of RAM minimum
Full install size: 12.4 MB

Or if you want to give it a shot, you can hit the Firefox page and see what they recommend.
