Has any one heard anything about these CPU mini water coolers. IM looking for something small and strictly for the cpu. I seen reviews on the q9450 and qx9650 and they both stayed below 55c. But id like answers from actual day to day user and not tester.

the radiator comes already filled and never needs refilling. also the tubes are already hooked up and leake tested. all is needed it change the mounting screws for 775/1366 to align with the holes and go into the existing retention bracket on back.

i think with your cpu and considering your overclock i think that this setsup would be weak...

you would be better putting your money into either a decent water cooling setup or a good heatsink/fan

I have a good heat sink that keeps me idle at 3.6ghz with 42 36 37 42 in room temp of 82F.

and in other rooms i house i can get 38 34 35 37. but computer staysi n my reptile room all year so i have to deal with the 82F

Just thought that mini cooler would do a lil better job on the cpu in this room.

Nope.

In general, all self contained watercoolers are crap. This includes the entire CoolIT Line, Corsair H50, Asetek, etc.

If you want to drop temps...a better air cooler such as a TRUE or Megahalems would work far better than any self contained units.

Well my buddy has the true 120 with the same chip same case everything the same basically and his temps were the same as mine. SO i dont see the true being any better than the heat sink im using now in my sig. Beings their basically the same

Eh, the TRUE is quite a bit better than the S1283 from what ive seen from it. Especially if you lap it it will shave off another 3-5c(cant lap a S1283 because the wall thickness of the heatpipes is so thin). Plus you need to be using identical fans to test them fully.

im pretty satisfied with the temps i get in the reptile room. Which is why im upgrading the case and go from there. I should have new case by 2nd week october. Im still looking for a good case with TONS of room.

put it this way if them cheap self contained water cooling setups were any good i wouldnt have blown £300 on water cooling setup i would have just bought one of them myself....

you want lots of room and good cooling the antec1200 is a good performer!

Hey I have this thing and I love it, it's really quiet which is why I like it so much, when I game my temp only hits about 42, I am not sure if that is what I had with my old fan as well but I can sure say it is way quieter than the fan I had.
