wholly PSU batman! That PSU is not modular and has a lot of cables, something to think about. Your case is large so it may not be a problem. You probably won't need any cables, the mobo will come with enough and you can always pick one up at your local digi store. You may want to toss in some thermal compound for the heatsink. All the parts work together and the build is nice.

I don't want to start nit picking on parts but I'm sure someone will.

Thats cool... Yea the PSU is an overkill but hopefully its one piece that i wont have to replace for a long while.. I understand that everyone has their preference in parts but overall my concern will this work and is it overall a good foundation for future upgrades.. Thanks

Yeah, the PSU may be a bit overkill. I guess if you plan to run SLI on it with those cards, then you could justify that uber wattage. Otherwise, I would maybe save a little cash on the PSU and go for a GTX 295.

The only thing I would change is that CPU cooler. Get a Prolimatech Megahalems CPU cooler and a good fan for it.

vouch! I have seen a few benchies and they seem to be back and forth.

That's what I meant. The 5870 "gives it a go" meaning it's a good race.

You talking about the 4890 keeping up with the GTX 295??? Not even...
Post links please.

Simply staggering that a single GPU card can keep up with the dual GPU 295.

Anyway, the OP shouldn't need to worry about upgrading for a while, that's for sure.
