Mic help?

my microphone hooked up and it works but when i speak into it the damn thing starts echoing and squealing.please help

Are you too close to the speakers with the mic?

i dont think i am..its about a foot away from them but i will move it farther..

Move it farther and maybe turn the volume down. That squealing is most likely feedback.

ok i moved it..seems to be doing good but its still laging a little bit.

it has its moment's im only running 512mb ram so its not all that fast anyways so im just guessing thats what it is.

Yeah 512mb of RAM isn't a lot, so you can't blame it if it lags. Might want to look into buying some more RAM.

Mic Solution

Hey, you should try to adjust the volume bars in the sound properties for mic and also select appropriate speakers because may be you have selected the microphone boost option in advance controls...deselect that and no need to go far it will work fine...i hope this helps.....
