Decent gaming computer?

Okay, so the computer I have now is falling apart. It needs too many improvements so, buying a new one would be the best and only way I was looking in the fry's section of the newspaper and came across this computer. I have kind of a small budget and this meets it. I would just like to know would this be a decent gaming computer? For games such as team fortress 2, half life, Aion, and some higher end games? So is this good and worth the price?

It looks pretty good but I don't know about that graphics card. If you want to buy it then upgrade the graphics card then I'd say go for it. It will probably play most games on low to medium setting.

If you can build your own. It's really easy and you should be able to pick all the parts up at fry's if you don't want to order online. If you build your own for $650 your going to be able to build something lots better then that.

So yah it is a decent deal and it will play games fairly well. But that GPU is pretty well junk and you will want to upgrade it.

Splurge and buy this

If that's the best you can do then you should not be putting builds together:).

The 9500GT is not any better then then the 4350 so what would be the point in getting it:confused:.

would this be a good graphics card to update it to?

That GPU is pretty good but I doubt the power supply that comes with that computer will power it. If you buy that computer you will have to upgrade you power supply before you can get a new graphics card.

Can you purchase a computer offline. If so go to ibuypower.com or cyberpower.com and put a build together. Then post it here for us to check out.

:D

I wouldn't build that computer! I was trying to stay within the specs of the computer he was buying and show him the deal is nothing special.

Oh ok I thought you was suggesting he build that. You can build a computer that will rock that HP. The only thing that stands out in the HP is the 8GB's of RAM which no body needs and the blu-ray player which will probably never be used.

heh, well I know that computer isnt like the best I would do if I built my own but i just need a decent gaming computer for now. I will work on building one later on. But about the GPU I bought a PSU for the computer I have now it is barley a year old. And it is 630 watts here it is:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152026

would that do the job?

That PC isn't bad it's just that the graphics card is so crappy but it will make for a nice gaming computer once you upgrade the GPU.

That PSU is not the best but it is a whole lot better then what is in there. It should be able to handle that 9800GT you posted earlier just fine.
