since i felt so bad that you went to your emotional release corner, i decided to post in your (extremely sexy) thread.

My emotional release corner was already taken, so I just went to go siphon gas out of my car and smell it.

But thanks, since you responded I can go and become a "functional and valuable" member to society.

:P

i think the big thing for people with 64-bit was the 4+ GB memory support. i haven't seen much solid info on the performance benefits of 64-bit, both in applications and OS's. maybe there will be in the future, but as of right now 128-bit interest me about as much as 256-bit does.

that 4+gb support is what sold me on it but yeah 128 seems a tad pointless most programs arent even 64 bit based yet lol
i have in all maybe 4 programs that are 64 bit integrated and those are programs that wouldnt see much of a gain from being in 64 bit in the first place

of course with 128 bit all support for 32-bit programs, aka basically everything to this day, is gone.

I don't think it would sell. You wouldn't be able to use a majority of programs or games. It sounds like microsoft just wants more money.
