Hi all,
New to the forum, been reading lots of great info.
My question concerns a mobo that states it supports up to 16GB of RAM, but it only has 2 memory slots.
I don't believe they make 8GB RAM sticks, so what's the deal here? Is it a good thing, in case an 8GB stick is every around? Or is it a sort of oversight or an actual limitation only having 2 slots?
For this particular mobo, if I wanted 8GB of RAM, I'd have to use 2 4GB modules, which would be pretty expensive. So in this case, it seems it would be better to use a different mobo with 4 memory slots and use 4 2GB modules.
Anyway, thanks for any thoughts.
