Boot problem

I have a hp laptop. As I boot it, "Windows xp loading" shows and when it comes to the logon (blue) screen, only the mouse pointer shows and nothing happens. I used it yesterday night and it was fine. Please help.

Ok, you does your " mouse pointer " move? You have a few options here.

Option 1: You can start your computer in safe mode, and if this works and you can login you'd you have do a system recovery and it may correct the problem.


Option 2: You may have to reformat.

Just format it or take it to someone who can recover the data and then get it format

there don't need to format. You can install windows again and it should work fine
