Want to build a computer for gaming

So, i want to build a gaming computer for $700 or less.

Here is what i was looking at,

Not sure about the os, 32 bit is fine if i can afford ddr3 ram.
Not sure on what cpu i would need, i would like intel if i can afford it.
Not sure what watt psu to get.
Dont know much about mother boards

do you have a general price range for us to work with? The CPU is the most important and first thing you should pick. Everything else kind of flows around that.

This is one of the best bang for the buck CPUs on the market with great overclocking potential.

i5-750 Lynnfield

If thats to pricy, this is another great bang for the buck CPU for about $50 less

AMD Phenom II X4 820

There are more good options for less money if these are to pricy.

my budget for the entire computer is under $700 with the os

The standoffs came installed? How would they know what size board you were going to put in it? lol

You can move those, you know.?

I almost bought one but I chose the HAF 932. In hindsight, I should have gotten the 690. :(

Except i personally would get Phenom II x3 720 for overclocking or Athlon II x4 620 for non overclock.
Case probably Antec 300 over CM Centurion 5

that build is great besides the RAM, I would not recommend that RAM. Daisymtc suggestions are good ones.

On the RAM. G.Skill makes excellent RAM besides the fact it won't overclock. Which is not a bad thing it just means they rate their RAM correctly. There are many good brands, including OCZ. Those sticks you picked out just have terrible customer ratings for RAM, 1/3 of the people that rated them thought they were crap :/ . Also that board can run RAM at higher speeds than the RAM you picked out are rated for.

Dont go with OCZ DDR3, worst mistake you can make. OCZ was one of the best manufacturers when it came to ddr2, i used almost exclusively ocz for ddr2. Their ddr3 is complete crap however.

Do you think the Beta EVO is better then the ANTEC 300 Illusion for the same price and the 300 comes with 1 x 120mm rear fan , 2 x 120mm TriCool blue LED front fans, and TwoCool 140mm blue LED fan??
