Adding fans to Dell Studio Desktop Mini Tower

You can pop it open but I doubt there's a place to mount a fan. If you really need an extra fan you can cut a blow hole to the side and mount a 120mm fan there. Just make sure it doesn't get in the way of any heatsink or ducts that Dell uses.

Mini Towers are horrendous with adding fans. You could try the product mentioned in the link above, but from my experience, that style basically does nothing for airflow/temps. If you have a spare case lying around, you could transplant it, otherwise, there's really not much to do, short of case modification as mentioned before.

Thanks for the responses guys. I will take a look at it and see if there is a place to add a an extra fan when I get it. I just ordered it and have heard there are heat issues with the core 2 quad processors and the small heatsinks that dell uses. I don't really want to cut the case up. If not, I'll give one of those things a shot just for the hell of it.

Don't have to modify anything, just use superglue... make sure you get it in the correct spot though!
