is tigerdirect.com a safe website to order something from or should i order from newegg or something like that
 
I prefer newegg as prices are usually lower, shipping faster, and better customer service.

However, Tigerdirect/Compusa/Circuitcity are all the same company(systemax) and i have ordered from them before and would recommend them.
 
TigerDirect is ok, ordered alot from them. Getting their rebates is like trying to shoot a squirrel in the dark, but it might happen. They have 1.99 shipping on most stuff over 100 bucks. I get most of my hardware from Newegg or Zipzoomfly.
 
yeah people were saying that the rebates from newegg are also like that i don't understand why these companies do that

Newegg rebates are great, sometimes though the rebates through companies themselves dont work out that great. With tigerdirect, i have never received the money from a rebate that was through tigerdirect, but i have received money when it came from the manufacturer themselves.
 
I bought a refurbished laptop from them and I got it within 3 days and it looked just like new, they are a great company to deal with. I've never had to deal with rebates from them though.
 
I have a tigerdirect, actually now CompUSA, about an hour from me and go there when I need parts in a hurry. Never had an issue with them.
 
Yeah I always got stuff faster from TigerDirect than Newegg but thats just b/c its located closer to me. I still prefer Newegg over TD mainly b/c of the great customer service and free shipping deals all the time.
