Hey guys iv been on this forum for around about 2 weeks, lots of people asking for help with builds that good but could we put it in a format! I see to many threads with just help me choose a new build. They never mention budget, needs etc. I say we use this template:

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: (e.g.: this week (the closer the better)) BUDGET RANGE: (e.g.: 600-800) Before / After Rebates

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: (e.g.: Folding@Home, gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies)

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: (e.g.: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS) **Include Power Supply Make & Model If Re-using**

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: (e.g.: newegg.com, ncix.com -- to show us selection & pricing) COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: (e.g.: Grand Fenwick)

PARTS PREFERENCES: by brand or type (e.g.: I would like to use an AMD CPU & Biostar mobo with a 24" LCD and full tower case)

OVERCLOCKING: Yes / No / Maybe SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes / No / Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: (e.g.: 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: (e.g.: Need to have a window and lots of bling, I would like a quiet PC)

Would make this forum alot better

Alright, here's where I get confused... do you want a new monitor or not? :P

I think every one is missing the point, this isn't him wanting to buy a new computer. He is just suggesting that there is a standard format for the people who put posts up like "HELP ME CHOOSE MY NEW BUILD!". I think this is a great idea personally. I dont get on alot to help but about once a week a give my 2 cents to one or two people, it would really help clean up the process and actually help the people who are trying to get what they want.

+reps(if we had it lol)

Thank you someone who gets it, its probably how i worded it sorry

No, it was pretty clear!! Some people just either don't read or are so used to the threads looking for builds that its almost assumed that you were just another lazy bugger looking for someone to do the work for them.

I agreed with this thread, it gets pretty annoying that everyday or every other day, someone wants the members on here to make a full build for them. I don't know if its laziness, lack of knowledge, or whatnot, but it gets pretty tiresome, over and over again having threads with links to Newegg.com, spelling out a random build.

thats a great idea. It will also help the newbies (like me :)) figure out what is what and keep a basic format so its not so chaotic.
