removing 1 OS

I have Windows Vista and Windows 7 installed in my computer on two different hard disks. When I boot the computer it asks which one I want to load. Now I want to uninstall windows 7.

1. Can you tell me how to do that so that it is completely removed and it does not ask on start up?

2. And if I want to leave them both installed but I want it to go straight to Vista when it boots without asking how can I do that?

3. If I leave Windows 7 and I want to use programs such as office and games that I already have installed in Vista. Do I have to install them again?

Thanks

Just boot into vista right click on the Win7 drive and hit "format". Reboot and it will boot strait into Vista.

Thanks for your help. And if I want to leave them both installed but I want it to go straight to Vista when it boots without asking how can I do that?

Hit Windows+R button at the same time. This brings up the run box. Type "msconfig" and hit enter. Select the boot tab. Then highlight Vista and click "set as default". This will still show the bootloader but, Vista will be the default. However, on that same tab there is an option to change the Timeout. Change that to w/e you like (Mine is 10sec). That will still allow time for you to switch to win 7 if you want to. When all done changing settings hit "apply" and "ok". Reboot to take effect

Thank once again. This forum is really great for computer help. I have another question. If I leave Windows 7 too and I want to use programs such as office and games that I already have installed in Vista. Do I have to install them again?

Not always.

I've run applications from different installs before. Just navigate to the Program Files folder and run the .exe

Sometimes it works.
