Best Registry Cleaner

I have searched and read the recent threads and was not able to find a thread that specifically addresses registry cleaners.

I currently run MS Windows XP (3) and AVG anti-virus and have reverted back to the windows built-in firewall after appearing to have a problem with Zone Alarm after a windows update some time ago.

I have tried the free version of 10bit registry cleaner, but am not entirely satisfied with it.

Any information about the best "free" and best "paid" registry cleaner would be appreciated.

CCleaner or Glary Utilities

Everytime i use CCleaner to clean registry it finds things and deletes them but then i scan my computer with GLary Utilities and it finds more problems. Fact is though that also happens when i use Glary Utilities and it finds nothing but then i use CCleaner and it finds something so thats why i use both xD

I gotta agree with those recommending CCleaner, it's not too aggressive in that it could just knacker your Registry but does a gentle job in keeping it clean and tidy.
