Question re: Running during PC games - run - walk run ??

I've play 2 games mostly -

COD World at War

&

Rainbow Six Vegas II

Both games have the same thing happen when I run. It'll Run - then go to walk - then I run again after letting it walk for a second or so I press the Run key again. I'm not sure if that is typical for these games - and always like that - because of the character tiring - or - if it's a function of my Video card only having 512 MB of Memory in my video card. If I had a card with 1GB or 2 GB of Memory - would the guy Run constantly without walking?

Here's my card

More VRAM in the video card helps in giving you better performance on higher resolution monitors. But no matter how big or small your monitor is, it wont help your character run for longer distances without getting tired...

So when the character stops running - it's because he's getting tired ( by design to give him more humanlike qualities ).

It's not a function of my hardware?

Other than that - the game speed / performance is fine. The run thing is something I have noticed - and was not sure if it was something I should / could fix with better harware?

yeah, youre guy in cod definitely tires out. He's a poon and gets winded. They just don't give you a stamina bar.

Don't know about those games but in ARMA 2 your dude can do a spurt of a run then has to slow and you hear him breathing heavy they will do this to any game that they want a bit of realism in. He may tire more if your looking through your sights or scope like in ARMA 2 as in real life soilders hold breath while aiming.
