Hi everyone!

I am new hear and see you have a lot of good info. I am in need of a new computer pretty badlyand ran upon this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/AMD-QUAD-X4-PHE...ZViewItemQQptZDesktop_PCs?hash=item439b41a2f8

How is it compared to a new HP elite 9260 with I5 like from Best buy? It seems amazing compared to all others?? Is it?

I am really new to this stuff and dont want to buy a computer I regret. I do a to of picture editing along with web surfing, music, and Word/Excel documents.

Thanks for any info

Its a good pc,Not sure if the price is good though as im from the Uk.

The downfall would be the graphics....its pretty poor if you intend to do any gaming.

yeah you will if you you play games on it, that GPU would be fine just for internet use but for gaming and video editing you would need to get a more powerful GPU

I would say don't buy it...

I looked hard at the specs and don't like what that guy is selling. Every component in that entire computer is the "bottom of barrel" cheapest you can get.

Okia power supply?
i micro keyboard and mouse?
Off brand hard drive? (they won't even tell you what brand)
DLT DVD player?
They make it look like you get an operating system with it...read the fine print...you don't!

The only thing worth a damn is the processor. That still does not do much if everything around it sucks!

I would advise against it...you can get much better computers other places. You could build one for just a little more money that would walk on that thing!

There are plenty of people here that will help you pick parts and help you build it:D

Hmmm, what downfall may I notice with the graphics?

Well do you intend to game?

It simply wont play any recent games decently ...Its an onboard graphics chipset....fine for the usual internet, movies, but thats about it.

You could buy that system then throw in a dedicated graphics but then you might need to replace the Power supply to handle the more need for power.

The specs show it has a OKIA A-POWER 680W psu....Ive never heard of that brand and its probably a poor quality power supply....that wont last very long.

What would be a good computer for a similar price????

I really dont game, not to say I never will, I just don't now...

I just want something really fast for home use, I can go to Best buy and pick something up, but I figured their has to be better deals out there...

Something better could be built for 700.00, No OS either, so you can say the price is at least 800 with OS.

What would be a good build with the AMD 955 processor, and DDR3 ram??

Could I build a setup using an old HP a350N case with "stock" DVD rom drives and card reader. Just replace the mother board, video card, power supply, Processor, ETC???
