I have a Brand new Toshiba Satellite A205-S5800 that runs horribly slow. I'm thinking its the Vista thats making it run slow. i Have windows XP that i was thinking of installing on it. but i'm not sure how to go about it. i know that i need to get the drivers for it that are compatible for XP, but other than that im not sure. i found some step by step instructions on how to do it but im just wondering if there is an easier way to make it run faster. Here are the Specs:

if you don't really know how to install the new OS, i suggest you just to update your ram to 2GB(its better to have 3gb but "Installed Size 1 GB (installed) / 2 GB (max)" ), it can make your vista work better.

could you post that STEP BY STEP instruction or what do you really what to know about for that "easier way", about reinstall XP, find driver or make whole process easier next time?

Upgrade to Windows 7, do not even bother with Windows XP. Honestly. XP is a decade old, and Windows 7 is much faster, more efficient and better in every way.

Windows 7 is a good OS, but I also feel people should give Vista SP2 a try. For people like me who don't care for the new task bar, it's greatly improved over the pre-service pack releases. I read one site that actually benchmarked Vista SP2 as being faster than Windows 7.

if it is possible to replace vista to win7 for free, i will suggest that, however, if it is imposible, he has to pay extra money for it, so check the microsoft to figure it out first,

yeah im not wanting to spend much money. i already have XP thats why i was gona go to that. but if i can go from vista to windows 7 for free them im all over it. do i just go to the website and see if i can?
