gtx 275 and a gtx 295 , p/s size needed. ??

for my folding machine
will a 750 watt p/s handle a gtx 295 and a 275 together.

I currently have a gtx 275 in my folding machine, and though about adding a gtx 295, I have read that you need at 1000+ p/c to run a 295,
is this true.

Why would you put them 2 together. The 295 will be down clocked to the 275 speeds. Your better off buying another 275.

If he is using it for folding that means he want be putting them in SLI. You earn more points folding them separately then you would with them in SLI.

From what I have read the GTX 295 is 2 GTX 275 but underclocked to GTX 260 clocks. I'm not 100% sure about that but I remember reading that somewhere.

That would be a streach with a 750w power supply. That GTX 295 comsumes a lot of power and a GTX 275 on top...I would not do it. If it does power it, the power supply will be near full load the entire time you are Folding.

When you say folding do you mean CPU & GPU & GPU folding?

If its just the CPU's you should be good. But maxxing out that PSU.

you have the corsair 750 with the 60amp 12v rail right? i think it could power it...
