Windows 7 Experince score question

I'm using 1 W.D. 300Gb Velociraptor. From what I've understood this thing is supposed to be as close to an SSD drive as you can get without paying the extra money with less capacity. So why is it the lowest in my Windows experience with only a score of 5.9, when everything else in the 7s?

^^ 1 Single drive no matter what the speed will get you a 5.9, the highest. Only Raid configs and ssd's will get you higher.

Question: Why are you worried about the index score? The index score is NOT very accurate even on Win7. The index score just tells you your general performance. People should NOT listen/worry about there index score if they have a "good" pc.

Well that is interesting G25r8cer as my HDD had the same rating. Not that I care but I was curious with Vista being capped at 5.9 what my system rated at :D

Question: Why are you worried about the index score?

I have the same drive in my Bloomfield pc.

6.0 for the VelociRaptor, and a 6.5 for my GTX 260?!

I felt robbed as well. :o

^^^ Look at mine. My 16mb cache drive gets a 5.9

See, you should not follow or go by index score

Edit: I think the reason why gaming graphics is so much lower has to do with the lack of a dx11 card. Will find out when I eventually get one

LOL my $45 drive gets the same score as your $200 drive

See what I mean?
