Flash BIOS OEM pc?

Hi, I've got a Fujitsu Siemens pc with a MSI 7379 mobo inside.
Ive noticed there is no option to overclock the CPU, due to Siemens!:mad:
Haha, anyway, I'm wondering if I can look for the mobo @ the official MSI site, download the BIOS, put it on USB/floppy and flash it without having to worry about anything. :D
Is it possible to overwrite the old OEM bios with the new one, so I'll have overclock options?

You have a specific bios on that motherboard for a reason. If you try flashing it with an incompatible bios file then you may either turn that board into a paperweight or the bios won't flash anyway because of the bios string. If you want overclocking options then you need to buy a non-oem board.
 
Are you sure flashing won't help?
I mean, it's still a MSI board as you'd purchase it retail with just a different (OEM) BIOS.

Do you mean Siemens edited the MSI mobo that way that you couldnt flash the official BIOS on it?
Any way to solve that?

I'm not thinking about purchasing a mobo any soon since the next one I get will probably be a ddr3/i7 one.
 
I already gave you the warning about trying to flash an oem board with a non-oem bios. Most likely you will either brick the mobo or the update won't take anyway because of the different bios string. Do what you want, however you may be purchasing a mobo before you wanted to.
