got a good review, anyone get this? Im backed up on good games that I havent been able to beat/play yet.. Got l4d2
,killzone 2, mw2 and I want to grab this, anyone picked it up?

Ciao

Nope, but I also got L4D 2 and Dragon Age....those will keep me busy for a while.

I am really holding off for Starcraft II and Diablo III, but I know Diablo is a long ways away.

I liked the first AC, but I never beat it. I got it for free with my video card. I should load it up and finish it one of these days. From the reviews I read, this game is even better than the first.

the ending was awful in assasins creed 1, and it was so repetitive, the whole pick pocketing, and listening in on the conversations, I did still love the gameplay but this one is supposed to be better, i want to hear it from an intelligent forum member before I do purchase it

+1

User Reviews from someone other then console kitties and new generation gamers (aka they think graphics over gameplay) is a must for me to buy this one.
The game DOES look promising over AC1 but their trailers are ALWAYS better then the actual product.

If you read the reviews though, some people actually liked the aspect of walking through the crowd.

In all honesty, just download it, and if you like it buy it if not delete it and move along. Even if the reviews say its good, you may not like it in the end. There are plenty of games people think are awesome that I just don't like for my own personal opinions.

fallout 3 for example?

I like Fallout 3 a lot, especially the mod stuff from the community. I was a die hard fallout 1 and 2 fan though, so I am biased to it.

I am disappointed about a few things they took away from the game. Mainly aiming for eyes and groin. That was the best part of the first two games. Someone giving you grief? Pull out your 12 gauge and unload into their groin, that will put a damper on their day.

haha i never played 1 or 2, I also played it on xbox 360 in germany on this tiny ass tv, maybe I should pick it up for the PC

Uh dude, you need to play the first two. It is turn based so it is slow moving but fallout 1 and 2 are the only true "open world" games that were ever made. They also were made before the whole rating system. You could get married and pimp your wife out for money, do porn, kill anyone and everyone you wanted to.

Some dip wad sends you on a quest for some stupid item, you decide to just shoot him and take the item you could.

You could kill NPCs and totally screw yourself story line wise.

The tech behind them is old and the game will feel outdated, but if you lived in the 90s and gamed in the mid 90s then you will still feel at home.

I even own the RTS of the brotherhood of steel spin off, and I admit that I like it.

I am pretty much a fallout fan boy

i can't bring myself to finish playing this game.
i thought it was going to be more rpg-er.
i'll probably pass on the second until like August 17, 2013.

Eh? I don't recall a crossbow in AC1 ~_~

there was a crossbow in the opening video sequence :P

this is true, you will hate the turn by turn action sequence coming from a fps in general, but they're both good games(i played them on my grannies laptop when i go on vacation) i've yet to beat the second one still

Got my copy of AC2 2 days ago. its pretty nice to play so far. (altough, I havnt completed it yet ofcourse. )

is it similar to the first in game play style? with the repetitiveness and standard weapons?

also, should i finish the first one or can you just jump in on the second, do the stories tie in with each others.

thnx

the stories are tied together. so playing the first one is a plus. :)

So far, the gameplay is good. I havnt played it enough to say weither its repetative or not tough. (on the other hand.. a game like CS is also very repetative, so that doesnt make it a bad game by definition. :) )
its a lot less frustrating than the first one, thats for sure.
