Will this cpu run arma 2?

Actually arma2 requires a pretty good graphics card. Here is a quote from a magazine reviewing Arma2 - "And a really good rig - even our beefy 4870x2 powered rigs struggled with this at reasonable settings" I'm pretty sure that it's requirements are an 8800gt minimum, and this is at lowest possible settings. I would recommend at least a 9800gt/4770 if you're planning to get Arma 2.

Yep you where right

ArmA II System Requirements
Intel CPU-Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz
AMD CPU-Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+
Nvidia Graphics Card-Geforce 8800 GT
ATI & Intel Graphics Card-Radeon HD 4850
RAM-2 GB
Hard Disk Space-10 GB
Direct X-9

I think his CPU will handle it considering he has a extra core. We need to know what graphics card you have to really tell you rather you can play or not.

http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=516&game=ArmA+II#system requirements click the Check Your Specs button, and put in your info. It will tell you rather or not your PC will preform good enough to play.

Well I plan on overclocking the processor also hopefully to at least a 2.5ghz or more. My video card is a ASUS GeForce 9500 GT 1GB 128-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support.

The video card almost certainly won't run it

:eek: that sucks well in febuary i plan on upgrading again.

I was so confused with witch video card was better i thought since it was a 9500 that it was better than a 8800 but i was wrong.

Time out. I just checked arma 2's site and it says the Minimal PC System Requirements are

* Dual Core CPU (Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz, Intel Core 2.0 GHz, AMD Athlon 3200+ or faster)
* 1 GB RAM
* GPU (Nvidia Geforce 7800 / ATI Radeon 1800 or faster) with Shader Model 3 and 256 MB VRAM
* Windows XP
* DVD (Dual Layer compatible), 10 GB free HDD space

I know for a fact that a 9500 is better than a 7800.

Yeah..., but they're the absolute bare minimum requirements. Not the recommended requirements, a 4870 would be a good upgrade.

EDIT: If you did play it on a 9500gt you would have to turn all the settings down to there minimum, a resolution of 800/600. It won't look or perform very good...

I have a 3.4GHz dual core and it runs fine :D, arma2 runs best with quad core though :/ and its one of the few games that actually uses SLI well - the more gfx cards you have the better XD even going up to triple sli will increases fps in arma2. But yeah amazing game, i used to own in the jets :P
