Can I Prevent Add/Remove Software?

Hi ~ We are trying to figure out to prevent someone from adding or deleting software on our computer.

To prevent someone in our family from adding or removing programs, but still being able to login and use the web or other applications.

Any thoughts, wer're not trying to prevent them from using the web (so we don't think we need an admin password) but we don't want them installing any software they want or deleting any software they want (like Norton).

I think you can try a "limited account". I'm pretty sure they really can't do anything except use what's already on the computer. What OS are you running?
