I need help... I went to a specialised forum about viruses and the like.... however they found no troyans, vruses, rootkit, malware, spyware, etc

can someone help me please?

What operating system are you running? Upon pressing the power button to turn the computer on, start tapping F8 key to enter safe mode. You should see a menu pop up with safe mode listed and other options. System restore should be under the accessories/system tools menu. Restore your computer back to before the issue started.

okay... do I do it in safe mode? or safe mode with networking?

cause in safe mode is the same... and the sm w/ n I can actually see the desktop and taskbar

okay... should I safe my stuff on dvds in order to have em as backup in case somethign happens?... and what do I do to do a system restore?

click on start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore. This program allows you to pick a day that your system was working fine and takes it back to that day. Once you start the program, make sure "restore my computer to an ealier time" is checked and click on next. You will then see a calender with dates in bold that there was a restore point created. click on the day that your computer was working fine and click on next to restore your computer back to that day.

Is this a brand new laptop? Warranty service. If not, then you need to wipe the drive and start over. If you have all the manuals and stuff, look up on how to recover the system back to factory state.

whipping drive it is... saving all my stuff on dvds and stuff
btw... how do I acess the desktop from task manager?
I need help on how to acess it.. since in safe mode I can't acess the D: drive
also... how I can save all my websites in bookmarked section w/my passwords so I can just dump em all back when I whipe the drive

I would buy an external hard drive and copy data to it that way instead of the way you are trying to do it. How much data do you have to copy?

I don't have money to buy one... but I got a bunch of blank DVDs for free from a friend. can you help me do it?

How much data do you have to copy. What about a flash drive, they are cheap. I'm not sure how bad your system is write now, not even sure if you can burn in safe mode. A lot of things are disabled in safe mode. What about putting your laptop hard drive in another system and copying data that way?

I burned 1 in safe mode... but I can't get them any more.. I am switching to normal mode... but I need a way to open a window that shows the desktop (not talking about show desktop but a window (like when you open "My PC" window) but for the desktop... using the task manager... since I can't acess the task bar

How about going into task manager clicking on new task and type explorer and then click on ok, what happens? You should get the desktop back.

Try this. Do you have a keyboard that has a window key on it between ctrl and alt on the left side? If so press that key plus the E key and my computer will open.

I will try... however I don't think it might work.. I wanna back up all my suff... can you help me open a desktop window
dosen't work...
