hey hamster, yeah sorry i didnt mention that to you in the other thread, as mx344 said..its backwards compatible!!

and any of those 3 cards will do you just fine for the budget you mentioned!!

For future refrence OP, pcie2 is backwards compatible with 1, so it will run at the pcie1 speed oppose to the faster 2.0 speed...

I don't want to bottle neck a card. So wouldn't it be better if I just go with a pcie1 card since I would get the full package?

No, hamster, you don't want any pce1 cards, they are out dated, don't worry about the bottleneck, there will always be a bottleneck in everyones system, so don't worry about it, Like right now, im running w/ a pce1 slot and i have a pcie2 card, it doesn't matter, the performance difference from 1.0 to 2.0 won't be noticable...

and about that "full package thing"

You will be getting the same perfromance on both cards, so what does it matter?

It's just that I heard if you put a pcie2 card in a pcie1 slot you will only get half of the cards performance.

False, you won't notice the difference, trust me, my card gets just as good results as its suppose to in a 2.0 slot, and i have a 1.0 slot...

Alright Mx344 I'll trust you on this.

Edit: Sorry forgot to edit the price. My dad is only willing to spend $60 on a card. Any good ones y'all like to mention?
