Been trying to reinstall XP Home edition on my computer. It reformat it no problem then it restart computer after that. But then it, goes back to the start of XP disc again. It suppose to install the XP windows on hard drive after it restart, but it just goes back to the beginning of the disc again. I have it set up to boot from disc. Anyone know why its doing this ?

After the computer restarts, do not press a key to boot to the disk again. If you aren't pressing a key then the only explanation is that its not finding your hard drive to start installing. Another option to try would be to right after it reboots, go into the bios and change the boot order to boot from hard drive first instead of cdrom. If that don't help, you have an issue somewhere, possible bad hard drive.

Thanks John for the reply.. No i didnt press any keys. And i havent tried booting from the hard drive, but I will give that a try tomorrow when I have more time. I will let you know how it went. Thanks again John,
Thanks,
Hulk
