Okay, ever sicne i got my E6300 i've had trouble with my ram. i must set the voltage higher than the default 1.8v to even get the system to boot with 4x1gb sticks. they are all exactly the same, timings and everything.
When i use all 4 sticks i get constant BSOD's with full memory dumps. nothing specific
The only way i can gety some form of stability is raising the memory voltage to almost 2.5v - much too high and too hot to touch, and the memory is hot to begin with. I have run memtest inidivudally with each stick and have got no errors back.
These corsair memory sticks are meant to run at 1.9v the closest my mobo has is 1.920v, and they won't boot with that, everything is stock, i have to set voltage to above 2v to even be able to boot, 2.3-2.5v last me about 45 minutes. system crashes no matter what i'm doing.
Please help, this has me stumped.
The only reason i could see this happening, si that 2 sticks are version 2.7, the other 2 are version 5.2, but this shouldn't matter, they are the same specs.
EDIT: Will upload pics of BSOD's and BIOS settings
PICS:
^^ Stable, mostly, but still freezes/bsods in all games and sometimes just web browsing
^^ All memory is detected
^^ this is stable while booting, freezes after logging into windows. no bsod.
^^ not much to say here. I guess i will flash to the latest BIOS. I have 1403, the latest is something else.
