I received a gift card for the HP store so that's where I have to buy from.
I am thinking of these two configurations.
I use :
Photoshop
FrontPage
iTunes
Media Creator for video editing
and just general computing.

There's two Core 2 systems. :P

I would choose the Q8400, only because of the graphics card in that build.

Otherwise, they're all about the same specs, and one wouldn't be much better than any of the others.

He just added another one, lol :P See the "edit" and the reason :D

***EDIT***
And the title of the thread, I'm bored, not trying to prove you wrong ;) just looking for more clues

Don't sass me! Lol jk jk

I didn't notice the edit, but must have added it just as you posted.

Anyway, my recommendation stands. All pretty even builds except the GPU in the last one. :good:

Thanks for the advice, sorry for the last minute edit. I have one more question. One build has an Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor E7500 [2.93GHz]. Any reason to go with this over the quads based on my computing?

q8300 one

better gpu, and faster ram than the q8400 setup. Forget the amd rig, bottom of the list on performance.

It's true, the higher clocked Dual Core will be faster.

But more and more programs and games are beginning to utilize more than 2 core processing, so it would be wise to get a Quad. :good:

O.k. I narrowed it down to these two and is the first one worth the extra $100.00?

The I5 will stomp a Q8300....but the Q setup has better graphics. Ehh, still go with the I5 and get a PCIe graphics card.

Nice, you won't be disapointed (except maybe on the graphics) but it be a hell of a lot speedier than an E6300!
