I'm buying windows 7 home premium. I saw one in the store that was $130 and said upgrade in the upper left corner. I also saw one that didn't have it and was $200. What is the difference between these.
The "upgrade" one is used for upgrading from Vista, while the other one is used for a clean install. (better)

So, if I get the one that says upgrade, I can do a clean install? I'm building a computer and don't have one at all. I would like to go the cheapest route.
Yes.
Boot from the disc, select Install, Custom (advanced), choose partition, Format, Next, etc.
Don't enter y our CD key when it asks you to. Finish install.
It will say you have 30 days to activate, click activate now, enter your key. :good:
Bad thing about an upgrade version, especially after cleaning the hard drive is you have to install XP or Vista first before you can install 7. Full version is faster IMHO.
I don't have a xp or vista software. Will the windows 7 come with it? I'm confused now lol

The one that says "upgrade", did it say "Windows 7 Upgrade" or did it say something like "Vista Home Premium with Free Windows 7 Upgrade?"
