HEC WinPower 550w or ULTRA-XF500 Infinity?
please only select from the 2 psu and dont suggest any other psu. tnks

well they both dont sound very good but a link to the 2 psu's would help!

i can find info on the HEC 550watt but none for the ULTRA

the HEC has 2x12v rails with combined amps of 35, will power a half decent gpu!

totally agree with it.... this psu is much better than all....try it out or you may read some experties reviews on different psu at testseek.com

Well it depends where are you buying these? If the first link of $70 is true there are better options for you.

Is a good example after rebate its almost twice the amps and 1 rail and can power most GPU out currently. Leaves more room for upgrades so later you wont have to pay another 60-70 for another PSU.

I would choose the HEC but in the end id not choose either for myself.

I would trust an Ultra more than a HEC unit, however both are generally about as low end as you can get. This is the cheapest psu i would think about purchasing:

i wouldnt trust any of the psu he suggested... hec or ultra, sound like cheapo junk man!

hope your not hooking them up to a good pc, if the psu blows it could take some componants with it!

i always go with reputable brands

Ultra is somewhat of a house brand of tigerdirect, some units are relatively decent(better quality than rosewill, lower quality than xclio/ocz/corsair/etc).

Like said above. Systemax bought Ultra years ago and turned them into Tigers house brand like Newegg does Rosewill. But overall I would say they are better supplies then the Rosewill brand.

Ultra is pretty good though. I had a 600W that I'm currently trying to sell because i had to upgrade but now I have another Ultra and I haven't had a problem with it. :)

Agree huney, HEC is a good option to power up your pc . Compare the price and quality before making a choice..

Both are completely unable to provide the power you will require for any PCIe graphics card to be honest. Both PSUs are ATX2.2 standard without EPS 2.91 meaning that the 12V +1 rail is dedicated to the CPU. That leave only 12V +2 rail for the rest.

A PCIe system should really have access to 26A on the 12V rail. Both PSUs have about 18A. Not enough.

If you want to put a decent graphics card in your machine, you have to have at least this quality: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139003
