Advance System Care

It was recommended to me in one of my posts and I downloaded it.

What is it?
Will it shut my computer down?
I ran a scan and it found one problem in one section and 89 in another. It also says to make a back up of my computer before I start,I didn't for the scan, but aborted at the second stage.

it should be fine Advance System Care is a legit program ive never used it myself
but i used other programs made by that company and they work very well
it should just find errors in your computer and repair them it is just asking you to backup to be on the safe side as all half decent system care programs should
it wont shut your computer down if anything it will make it better

Advanced System Care works quite well. I have used it many times. You do not have to worry about this program doing damage to your system.

It has this defrag thing it and it's taking a looooong time.
How long does it take?
What does it do?
I have defragged using the built in one,is this one different?

Another question about it,I let defrag run about 30 minutes and aborted it and later checked some pictures and some seemed to have been renamed.

Would defrgging cause that?
If not that, what could cause pictures to be renamed?

Like one file use to start out at 1598,now it starts out 0001.

Defragging would and probably cannot cause that, defragging is the process where it moves data on your hard drive closer together so that it doesn't have to look over the whole disk to go in between files which results in a shorter load time.

If this is the first time you have ever used a defragger other than the built in one then it will take quite a while for the first pass. Yes it does things differently than the built in defragger. Just start it and let it run. It may take hours depending on size and condition of your hard drive. By the way the built in defrag method is crap. Just about any other defragger out there does a better job.

On that note i recommend using defraggler.

Well,I might just google it tomorrow and try it out.

Still don't know how those pictures got renumbered,I didn't do it.I did something not long ago call disc cleanup, don't know what it did but alot of the file names turned from black to blue.

My dads computer was working really slow and I downloaded CCleaner and ran it once and it seems to be running alot faster, cleared off almost 4gigs of stuff,WOW.Of course he lost all the tracking cookies that his computer used to communicate with different sites, but it's faster.
