Need help picking a new MB

Im looking for a new MB wanna upgrade from my P5K premium CPU i have now is a quad core but i also wanna up grade that 2 a i5 or i7 just need help picking out a new MB and yes i am a gamer
 
Hi, i am new to forum and this gonna be my first post.
lets see..
you have a mobo from ASUS with model:P5K premium
and a Intel quad core (problably an LGA 775 socket)
and would like to upgrade to i5 or i7
well, if thats correct we gonna need to help you choosing an new CPU (socket 1156 or 1366)and a new mobo that can get those kind of sockets
and also you gonna need new ram (DDR3) problably.
 
Wow then just go socket 1366 board, and I7 920. If you spend over $200 on a board, you really can't go wrong. I prefer gigabyte brand.

Yeah, if you're not on a low budget, than just go for LGA 1366. It seems to me like LGA 1366 is going to be way better for future upgrades than LGA 1156 is. Like the previous poster said, I also have heard that Gigabyte is a good brand. I have an Asus and also think it's good, of course you probably already have trust in Asus :) Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've also heard that MSI is a good brand.
