Can't play video in DVD player

Hello all,

I have made a video with my camcorder and save it on my C: drive. I burned the video (mp4 format) to a DVD using Nero 8.0.

Now, the problem is it will not player in my DVD player in my living room. Is it because my DVD player does not support .mp4 files or what?

If I put the DVD back into my PC it plays just fine.

Do I need a special dvd burning software or does my dvd player just not support mp4 files?

Thank you,

Most dvd players don't support mp4. You will have to create a dvd movie using nero by actually creating dvd files that will go onto dvd just like one you buy from a store. nero should be able to convert that mp4 file into dvd files.

Yeah ok, Nero says it needs Nero Vision to create DVD files.

Thanks
