Need A New Game, Suggestions?

Hey all.

Well, I recently moved and now have no access to the Internet for my PS3 (which means my favourite games to play are now games I can't). So, I need to get back into offline gaming. Can anyone suggest a decent, worth while, playable offline for longer than 5 minutes game?

I'm quite into scary games (already played and completed both FEAR's and Dead Space - loved them both, by the way). Completed Mercenaries 2 and quite recently Dragon Age: Origins (after just over 30 hours play time). Quite a big fan of FPS but also used to adore games like WoW etc.

Any shooter game, scary game, RPG, FPS that's half decent.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tayl.

Grand Theft Auto 4 is a good one. If you like racing games get Race Driver GRID and Gran Tourismo 5. I find racing games are fun once i've ahd enough of killing people :P

Demon's Soul seems to be very good. it even won GOTY award on gamespot.com. I haven't try that though. currently, im enjoying infamous, GOW collection (the graphics are awesome for a ps2 port) and Killzone 2.
The few scary games that i know of are Siren: New Translation, Silent Hill Homecoming and Condemned 2. I didnt buy those, but you can check out the reviews online :)

Get Fallout 3 GOTY (post-apocalyptic RPG shooter) , I just picked up the DLCs myself and I can't stop playing :D (You get all 5 DLCs with the GOTY version)

Second on Fallout 3 GOTY. That is a fabulous deal right now.

GTA will provide you with some endless fun if you like roaming around an open environment doing just about whatever you please. Infamous is similar, just with super powers and not as in depth.

If you have any interest in the action/adventure genre, the Uncharted games are great. Though, I am not too certain about replay value. They were kind of like Dead Space for me. Great, but once you've beaten it once or twice, there isn't much else to do. Fun to revisit occasionally. I am looking forward to Dead Space 2.

Killzone 2 has a decent single player game. You can also botmatch to your heart's content. It is also one of the best looking shooters out right now next to Modern Warfare 2.

The Assasin's Creed games are rather fun, too.

Already played and completed GTA so naturally I don't feel in the mood to play that much anymore now that my Internet is down. I was looking at Fallout 3 but I haven't played either of the first two. Do they run on and require you to have? Same story with Killzone 2. Haven't played the first one, is that required to get the storyline of the second?

The first two Fallouts were made over a decade ago, I heard they are good but the graphics are very outdated
And as far as I can tell you do not need to play the first two to get the third one : P

Demon's Soul is amazing, however I think you may have to be online to play it because in sp you see others from all over the world who are at the same point and how they are doing it; quite a neat feature.

Condemned scared the crap out of me, if you like scary games try it

+1 for fallout 3. You don't need to have played FO1 or 2, unless you like the lore and past and such, but that isn't detremental at all, nothing that you can't google search or find on the fallout wiki atleast :)

As several others have said, you don't need the prior games to play or even get into Fallout 3. It stands on its own just fine. Same for Killzone 2. You might get a bit more background by playing the original Killzone, but it isn't necessary.
