Battlefield 2 - Can't create new account

I got my copy of battlefield 2 complete collection today, installed the game, the special forces expansion and the booster packs. I launh the BF2 and try to create a new account. no matter what email/password/nickname i enter it says it's already in use. I try to retrrieve the supposed info on the created accounts, it says they are invalid.

Help!

Sure you haven't been scammed, you bought it off eBay after all.

I can't remember off the top of my head, but do you not have to activate it or have an EA account or something along those lines?
 
Nevermind, i just made a new hotmail account and used that. so that means someome has used my main email address for an account :angry:

Isn't that pretty impossible though? Unless your email is like simplest thing ever? Or maybe you played another EA game and you forgot you used that email on that account.

I'm pretty sure Battlefield 2 emails apply only to BF2 accounts, so even if he played another EA game and used that email, it should still be available to be used as a BF2 account email.
 
I used my email for one previous EA game: Command & Conquer Generals/Zero Hour. but that was back in 2003.

Lots of other people have been having this problem with the BF2 Complete Collection, and even a new copy of the game wouldn't fix it.
