Better processor and/or videocard?

I currently have an Asus K60 laptop. I really don't feel like selling it and buying a new laptop, so please bear with me. It has a 2.1 GHz dual core processor, 4GB DDR2 RAM, and Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics card. I read that straight off the box because i really don't have much computer savvy.

I really would like to know what my options are in the way of upgrades. Someone please help me out. Thanks a lot.

well im assuming if your not very experienced you would be getting a professional to do the upgrades cause its a bit trickier working on a laptop than on a desktop so with that in mind your cpu is pretty weak so id seriously consider that so you would have to price the cpu you want and also the cost of fitting and weigh it up but laptops arent really made for power what is it you use your computer for music, pictures, videos etc or just surfing etc.

Videos and minor gaming. I don't understand that my processor is weak because i read about all these guys that play games on their laptops with processors that are like 1.6GHz. Again, I don't really know what I'm talking about but I figure the more expensive a processor is, the better performance it should have.

Anyway, I'll look into a better processor if you could help me with one thats a good value and better performance than the one i have, also the video card is something i'd like to upgrade.

well in terms of laptops your cpu is fine my laptop cpu is the exact same as yours but compared to a desktop being say 2.8 or even above its weaker as far as i know you cant change the graphics card in a laptop apparently their built into the motherboard or something does your current spec not do all the things you require my acer has same cpu 3gb ram and it does all the basic games and video stuff i use it for when you weigh it all up wouldnt you consider keeping your laptop as is and buying a new or even second hand desktop with a decent spec to give you something with a bit of power as i said before its tricky to upgrade laptops apart from hard drive and ram so then you end up paying engineers costs too.
