First game I should play on my new PC?

lol:P

When i was a guild wars fan, it was a few hours a day to say the least :D

When I played proper WoW I was like that. Went through a period of maybe a few weeks of playing 6+hours every day. Stopped my subscription in april I think 2009, payed for a month in august to get back in contact with some people that I played with, a couple in particular that live in Manchester that started out as very good friends in game and ended up being some of the clostest people I have ever had for a while, and to try out new contact. Played maybe 6 hours a week at the absolute most then, couldn't get back into it.

Started on a private server again though and enjoying it, but not losing track of how long I am spending on it.

I have said this numerous times, to numerous people on here and in real life, you get addicted to anything, computer games included, if you let yourself. It becomes a habbit rather than an addiction. You get used to going on for an hour when you get back from work or school or whatever, but one day you lose track of time and play for an hour and a half, but still manage to have family time, to homework/coursework or whatever so realise you can do that every day, and that keep happening, until you lose track of time completely, and like you and I, spend hours a day on it. The majority catch themselves before it is too late or at some point while they are doing it, but a minority have it start out as a habit but very quickly have it turn into an obsession.

I got a friend who plays upwards of 8 hours a day every day. Whenever I go round he is either in his dressing gown if I go there on a weekend or when he has time off or in the same clothes as 3 or 4 days ago if I go during a college day and it is an obsession. The last time I went round about a week ago he was on a drood which was his main before wotlk came out and he had been doing dungeons since 8am or something (when I went it was about 4pm or so) and, I pretty much quote, he said "I have been gearing up my druid for raids later in the week, I need to do it" and I felt like slapping him and saying it is a game, you don't NEED to do anything

/ot :P

Never been a true-er word spoken mate! :D

I dunno if im allowed to say it here, but weed is the killer for his. Everyday i used to come home, have a smoke, and play play play literally, 10 hours non stop, 5pm til 5am minimum guild wars

Glad those days are over though, i've tought myself to never get to heavily into an mmorpg again! lol! :D

Not sure if you just got your math wrong, but I'm pretty sure 5-5 is 12 hours ;)

Can't say I know from experience, not one to delve into drugs, don't and never have or will smoke or take drugs, don't even really like coffee and apart from advocaat, don't drink :)

But, I do know that once I find a niche group of people, I will come on just to talk to them, and I don't mean like I will jump on the phone or MSN to speak to irl friends, I go out to see them or sometimes go on MSN and whatnot, but I play for the people that you meet.

Like about 2 or 3 months before I quite WoW I joined a guild with an amazing guy, he was 79 and was one of the best people I have ever spoke to. He was so funny, so helpful and one of those people that you could speak to for hours and neither of you would get bored. I met so many people like that throughout (obviously met a bunch of arseholes aswell ;)) but I found myself playing for the people, rather than the game.

Since I joined my first CoD4 guild about a year ago I have played CoD, TF2, BF, all fps that they play just for the people in the clan, to be able to speak to them because there are a couple of great people in my old clan and in the one I am in now.

And it may sound sad that I go to play games for people that I haven't seen in the flesh, some that I don't even know the face of, but just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there. I come on this site to talk to people that I don't know in real life, that if I crossed in the street I wouldn't recognise, but it doesn't mean I don't enjoy it or come here to talk to for enjoyment if that makes sense :P

I recommend Dragon Age Origins

Very good game with a great storyline and it takes a lot of time to complete

Well of your list I would pick Dawn of War 2. Great single player and multi.

Really ? Dawn of War 2 has a great single player ?!

The single player campaign of that game is boring, repetitive, and has poor storyline.
