Herre are the current specs:

http://www.dell.com/content/topics/...n/dimen_xps600_sp_specs?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

I want to upgrade it so that it can handle the modern videogames at high quuality, and so that it can handle music recording.

What should i upgrade, and how much do i need to spend, how much ram ? do i need a new prosessor, what grafics card.

Your help will be greatly apriccated

Upgrade Option -
2 x 1GB DDR2 RAM $50, I assume you have 32bit windows.
Video Card - May be GTS 250/ 4850?? $100. I am not sure if your Pentium D would bottlenecked higher end card...
CPU - I have no idea what if it support Pentium dual-core/ C2D

I'd personally suggest a semi-rebuild. That pentium4 is a huge anchor to pull around. If you want something done on a smaller price scale than below, give me a number and I'll shoot for the best at that price.

5770 - $169

Intel (if you kept a Penitum 4 rig this long, I suggest spending a decent amount of money to have a CPU that will stay relevant a long time)

Gskill Ripjaw ddr3 ram 2x2gb - $96

Please download PC Wizard from my sig and install it. Then go to FILE, SAVE AS and click OK. Save the text file and copy its contents into this thread. Then open the side of the PC and record the brand and model of PSU installed. Post the PC Wizard report and PSU info here.

Then, and only then can we give you proper upgrade options. :)
