Decisions, Decisions...

I am going to be buying a new laptop soon. I will be playing Call of Duty 2: Modern warfare, Crysis, and Starcraft 2/Diablo 3 when they come out, as well as watching HD movies and using the computer for my schoolwork. Music is also an integral part of my life.

Here is where I need a little advice:
I have narrowed down my search to the Gateway P-7915u FX

and the Asus G72GX-RBBX05

Which of the two would you guys recommend?(prices are close enough that they don't factor into my decision)

btw: This is my first post so I'm sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum or anything.

Thanks for the reply. I hear the 7915u FX has a cooling system on both CPU and GPU, and GTX 260m is Not underclocked while g72 is though. Taking this into consideration, does the Asus still come out in top?

You will get better quality parts from Asus then gateway. Remember Emachines owns Gateway.

There actually owned by acer

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gateway,_Inc.

Plus most companies use the same parts, its at what cost they get them that decides the price. I would get the gateway, bigger battery and it uses DDR3 memory where as the asus uses DDR2. Yeah the gatway only has 4GB but you could upgrade it to 6 GB for cheap and 4 GB of DDR3 will do what you need.

For what you're using it for, I would also recommend the gateway. The DDR3, battery life and dedicated vram is really the deciding factor to me.
