Error Code OFOO:0221B on Dell Dimension 8300 DVD ROM Drive

Ran a diagnostic check on DVD ROM that stopped working (just flashes green all the time and trys to start DVD and then stops) and got the following message box:



Error Code OFOO:021B

Msg: Block 11376 Flaw in medium or an error in the recorded data. If this a removable media device, try different media.

I ran the test with the same CD in my bottom DVD RW and diagnostic check said it read the disk fine. Where can I go to find out info on error message or does it just mean my DVD ROM is no good? I can't seem to find anything on Dell website and no response from their forum.

If the light stays on, the drive is basically bad. Get a replacement drive. Or you could try putting that drive in another system and testing it in that one before buying a new drive.

I have a used replacement drive which I'll try, just wanted to make sure I was doing all the checks on this one, thanks again!
