How bad of a GPU is a 4350?

I bought the 4350 after my brother told me not to get the 9800GT (This computer was going to be a family computer with next to no games) Installed it, everything went fine. Then, sure I'll go install a game or two (COD4 and MW2) and go test it out. I never really used my brother's card which had a 9600GT.

Turns out this card got a 3.9 on Windows experience, I know it's not a good rating system, but I least I know how good it'll be. This isn't much better than my 256mb laptop card which gets a 3.6

I went to try MW2 and it was really worth my money. But at least I know it won't die out for the next 1-2 years.

Here are my specs just to let you know:

CPU: AMD Phenom II 550 Black Edition 3.2Ghz
Motherboard: Gigabyte M720
RAM: PNY DDR2 800mhz RAM
GPU: Powercolour ATi Radeon 4350 1GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 120GB 7,200RPM
OS: Windows XP Professional

All I generally want to know how this card performs against a 9600GT.

A mismatch?

9600GT will be better as the 4350 is more comparable to the 8500GT/8600GT.

9600GT 1GB version

Well if the primary purpose of the computer is just your basic stuff, then a powerful GPU really isn't needed. If you had the intention of playing games, yes, a 9800GT would be much better, hell, even the 9600GT is by a wide margin more powerful. On the other end of the spectrum, if the computer was never intended for games, then why waste the extra money on a card it was never going to use?

bad? what are you using it for? Gaming, yes it lacks power but for general usage its probably going to be more robust than you need.

I was planning to use it for MW2 and COD4 and FIFA 10 mainly, but seeing how the GPU couldn't handle the smoke and with FPS lag on low settings and 1360x768 on a 1600x900 screen, I have cut off use on it.
