Hello, all,
I recently upgraded my operating system on my HP laptop to Windows 7. Before doing so, I used a thumb drive to save important files. I then made a copy of the files on 2 disks. I wiped the laptop hard drive, installed Windows 7, put in the disks to install my files, and guess what? They are now VHD files, are not recognized and cannot be opened. HUH?
I have been all over the net trying to find out how to open these files, and have seen lots of VERY confusing info that does not work, or would clear the data off of the disks. Why does this happen? I especially need my Sony Recorder voice files. I have seen stuff like "open it with your Virtual Machine Program!", but even search finds nothing. I am tearing my hair out! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
