external drive software ?

I recently purchased WD My Passport external hard drive. The software it comes with seems clumsy and burdensome. Is there a better software that I can use with this drive.

This is my first experience with an external drive.

How about no software at all? I've always thought that external hard drive software was a joke. It's much easier to just drag and drop whatever you want by accessing the drive through My Computer.

+1. No need for extra software running on your system if you already have one that's pretty good for the job.
