wireless drops out every time i start limewire.

my wireless drops out every time i start limewire on my laptop. i have to go to my router and unplug it and plug it back in for it to work again. I have a belkin wireless g router. I have recently started using utorrent and it does the same thing. any ideas?
 
Most likely it's opening up too many connections and the router can't handle it, making it reset/reboot. Try looking somewhere in the options, there should be something along the lines of "Maximum open connections" or "Maximum simultaneous connections".

Also, uTorrent is alright, but Limewire is utter garbage. You'll be better off ditching it altogether.
 
both limewire and utorrent are not allowed for discussion here ;) along with any other form if pirating.
 
well, i agree there. not sure the admins will though.

anyway try updating your network drivers.

i dont use them for pirating... and i updated all the drivers for my router... as far as the maximum open connectedness are you talking about in the utorrent options or the router options?

I'm talking about the program's options, such as uTorrent, yes. You'll have to set it separately for each file sharing program you're using, though.
