Running caseless

last time i ran caseless i just put my mobo on some cardboard. but i found some foam, about 3 inches thick. could i put it on this instead? thanks

hell no, im always for casless. i dismantled my old case, took out the mobo tray and put my mobo in that, and put that on the foam. my temps are better than ever, GPU maxes out at 56c. but my friend is selling his CM elite for $20, im probably gonna go pick that up, or build a stand out of wood so my pc isnt on the ground

Get a piece of plexi or steel sheet, tap out some holes for standoffs and then put some standoffs in;)

No I think he just took out the mobo tray ( he isn't as creative as this :p ) Im talking about putting everything in the case as usual then putting it on its side and mounting the mobo on top :D I'll have to have a go and post a pic, cheap techstation ftw :good:

Here is my caseless setup as it stands http://img180.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=dsci0157s.jpg on a cardboard box with foam on top. the box is only there because it was to low down for me to reach the reset jumper across this stupid table. Check the 5.3" tower lol. I'm making a techstation soon, it's to unorganized even for me and the vaseline is purely for insulation purposes to preempt any snarky remarks lol.

Just noticed you can see my cm v8 box in the background :) thought you'd like that ganzey ;) .

arrg, i have to force it closed cause my v8 is too big. im either gonna shave a little off the v8's plastic, or the side cover

Man.. I don't know how you can let your computer be like that :eek: I'd be afraid to come home and find my cat stuck on top of it cause he got his fur in the fans..lol
