my computer is slow

I've cleaned up my files and deleted unused stuff, moved most of my photos to a memory stick, defragged, emptied the recycle bin and done just about everything I could to speed it up. I have my e-mail account through outlook express and also one for the family. My computer was fine until the family e-mail address was installed. I think it's that second email account and I want to move it to my husband's laptop since he uses it more than I do. Would that make a difference in the speed? If not, are there any other things I could try?

Have you deleted all the old temp files and such using Ccleaner? Adding an outlook express email account should not make the pc slower at all. Have you done any malware scans lately using Malwarebytes?

Have you used anti-virus software to scan computer?
I recommend you to clean registry if you have installed too many programs in the computer.

Outlook is a huge hogger. My parent's xps 400 can barely handle Outlook with internet explorer open; it hangs and hangs and hangs.

Hello,

Firstly, you download all the files related the outlook Express and then deleted the all files or attachment from the outlook Express. When you apply this then your computer speed or internet speed is perform well.

What are the specifications of the computer? Do you always have anti-virus programs running in the background? If so, disable them and you should see a great improvement in speed (just don't be stupid and download random files and you'll be safe from viruses).

Norton 360 really sucks the speed out of computers, especially slower ones.
