PS3 or X360?

FF13 is coming out in just over two weeks and I'll be getting one of these systems just for that game. Looking for recommendations on which platform and why you suggest it (better graphics, quicker load times, runs quieter - any reason at all why you prefer it).

I dunno,Theres still alot of failiure rates on the 360 with RROD.....which imo with how long the 360 has been out now,MS should have fixed this!

Then you have the whole subscription thing if you want to play online,then you need to purchase a hard drive for it.

Personally id go PS3 because,hard drive included....free multiplayer,built in Blu-ray.

PS3 for the Win!

I have owned several 360's and my all went to hell. Last week when I got my taxes I picked up the new PS3 slim and MW2, Plus a new 42inch plasma.

I am blown away by the PS3, It has built in Wifi, Blueray, Internet, Photos, Music. The list goes on.

Every morning it is nice to turn it on and click internet and list to Pandora Radio while I get ready.

It is the best and most reliable console I have ever owned.

PROD?

No HDD on the 360? I thought they came with one - that's good to know.

The PS3 has built-in internet? What's the browser?

ps3 has internet kind of like the psp. but it has flash and its actually pretty fast.

a 120gb ps3 is $300 (online is free)
a 120gb 360 is also $300 (have to pay for online)


another good thing is the ps3's hard drive can easily be replaced with a laptop hard drive. but with a 360, you have to spend a crapload on their overpriced hard drives
 
if you won't be gaming as much, i say ps3 so you can use it for blu-ray. if i didn't a receive a PS3, i wouldn't be buying blu-ray movies. i love blu-ray! :D plus, with the ps3 you can swap out the HDD (on the fat one, don't know about the slim one) to a bigger HDD like for example a 500GB. transfer some movie files from your computer onto a USB and copy them to your PS3 for convenience instead of popping in a disc and out.
 
Red Rings, huh? I guess all MS products come standard with some form 'Of Death'? At least they're consistent.

With the slim PS3, is that an option, or is it like the slim PS2 (it was phased in and replaced the original)? Meaning, will I have a choice of the original PS3 or do stores just carry the slim one? The HDD swap sounds like a good idea. Will it play DVD, too, or just Blue Ray?
 
the hard drive IS replaceable on the slim. apparently it only takes like 2 minutes

and yes, they do play regular dvd's

well i don't know in your neck of the woods but over here they aren't selling the fat ones anymore on retail. and yes, the PS3 will play and upscale your DVD making it look more pretty. :D
 
The PS3 has prolly one of the best upscalers ive seen, its a great media extender/media center unit aswell, plays all sorts of formats.

Get netflix for $9/$10 a month, and you can play all sorts of movies instantly with the netflix dvd.

Once they announced the longer 360 warranty, they fixed their consoles. And there are people who still have their first 360 from when it first came out, and it's still running.
 
Xbox 360's are not reliable aat all, i personally have had 2 and both have broke.

My friend has had his halo edition one replaced 3 times.

And my other firend bought on 2 weeks ago it broke, he was replacing his previous xbox 360, get the picture :P


Ask anyone, ps3's hardly ever break, and they got the bluray, i love that btw, the upscalers cool too, and its a lot quieter than the 360, you cant even hear it.


My ps3 has yet to fail me...


O and online is free, on of the greatest things ever! its like a pc, i hated paying for stupid xbox live.

Funny, I have two, and both work. Guess you guys just have bad luck or take poor care of them. And most of my friends that have 360s have barely had problems..

And I would much rather pay for XBL, since 1. I can afford it. And 2. the service is amazing. With their service being free, you get what you pay for.. Everyone I talk to says PS3 online is laggy, and it's not like Sony is getting a lot of money from the PS3, since they're actually losing money while producing the consoles. Oh and the PS3s take a long time to update.
 
^nope, i took excelent care of mine, i took care of it just like i take care of my gaming rig witch is my baby :) lol

PS3 online is good, who ever says its laggy, uhh there internet sucks, cause i havent had problems.

The being free for me, is more a bonus than anything, its just nice to know that you don't have to keep buying crap to keep it running, but i must admit, the controler on the xbox is a fav. of mine :o:P

im still getting use to the ps3 one.
