Multiple Hard Drive Configuration Solutions

Hey, I just got a message in Windows 7 saying that I am running out of space on my C: drive. My second HDD is a WD 1TB External that I have removed from the case and installed as an internal to increase its speed. I am trying to solve the issue of space on my computer but have hit a dead end. I would rather not spend anymore money at this time on getting 2TB drives as they are expensive.

As it stands I have 12.5GB of 596GB free on C:, and 150GB of 956GB free on D: (My Book).

Having already used up my Sata ports already I am wondering if anyone knows a solution. I have heard...but havent done any research yet...about a solution using a PCI slot. My mother board is the M4N82 Deluxe and I have an EN9800GT taking up on PCI slot and PCIe slot. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

It looks like it may be cheaper to get a 2TB drive, as a storage controller is just as expensive.... any thoughts?

Why do you need to buy a 2tb drive just add a smaller 320 gb drive to the system providing you have space for another drive.

He would have to either buy Bigger hard drives or get an add on card....

You could try and shift some of your data from the C:\ to the D:\ but your D:\ is quickly filling up too... Have you seen what a disk clean up for the C:\ might do? It most likely won't do too much but it might help some...

I would ask what you are using all that space for but there are only so many ways someone uses 1.5TB :P

If you have the space in your case a controller is the better option because it will give you 4+ ports for $30-$50. Then you can add a bunch of medium capacity drives instead of having to buy one large capacity.
