Hey im attempting to buy/make a computer that for regular use and gaming. I like to play some games and atm im facing 1-3 fps on my shitty laptop. Ive got 500 bux to spend so im on a tight budget. From talking with some people, I think ill be able to get buy ok with a 2.7 dual core processor and 4gb ram. I then decided ill buy a new v-card for whatever computer i get because most computers in my price range come with a really bad one for gaming. Then I found out that I need to get a new power supply in order to support my new video card. After looking around this is what i plan on getting: a new desktop, a video card, and a power supply... I would like your thoughts and opinions please.. heres the links of the itesm:

... note the minimum requirement for the v-card is 350w and the power supplier is 585w so it should be alrite.. p.s.. would these two parts be hard to install?

All responses are greatly appreciated

Thanx for the help guys... researched how to build.. doesn't seem to bad.. Will i be able to rely on people in this forum to help me with questions i have... another note.... the 2gbram is kind of on the slacking side.... if you were to make a buildup with ddr2 instead of ddr3 with lest say 4gb ram.. how would you do it.. also are all the parts you have listed compatible with each other? so far with the mix of your two builds i have come up with http://https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=17913928

ok im really trusting with what you say here however I think that 4gb ddr2 would be better off than 2gb ddr3 but the hell if i know.. what are your thoughts about this?

That'll do, pig. That'll do. :good:

I do think my RAM would be a better choice though...It's 1333 vs 1066 for $1 more.

2GB DDR3 will be plenty. It'll also be a bit faster, and allow for better upgrades in the future. Plus, newer systems don't support DDR2...trying to find a motherboard/cpu to go with it would have made the whole system slower. AM3 boards with DDR2 do exist, but Newegg's out of them and they'll likely be either crappy or expensive...or both.

Just get 2GB of DDR3 now, you can always get another 2GB later and run them in dual channel. just make sure they are the same timings and speed.
